Good Works No. 5

I read D&C 58:26-28.  It said that we should not have to be told to do service.  If we did, we would be considered a slothful servant.  Verse twenty-seven said that we should be "anxiously engaged in a good cause, and do many things of their own free will".
Think of ways that a young women, wife, and mother could apply this scripture in her own home:
  • a young women can do her chores and responsibilities at home without being asked, and without complaining.
  • a young woman could do service inside the home such as: doing a sibling's jo or chore, babysitting, or helping a parent with something they need done.
  • A young woman could do service outside the home without it being a mutual activity or Personal Progress requirement
  • A wife can be a support for her husbannd (as a husband should be for his wife)
  • a mother does much service without being asked.  She cooks, cleans, and raises children.  Raising children in a righteous home is service to the mother, her husband, the children, Heavenly Father, and all of the people whom their children might teach, serve and love in the future.
